In a show of support for the “Operation Touch Base” movement, Hon. Zack Rahman, the Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso East, has donated a significant sum of GH¢ 20,000 to the National Frafra Association for Dr. Bawumia.
The donation was made during a meeting held on Sunday, June 2nd, where Rahman, accompanied by his constituency executives, met with members of the Frafra community at Kawukudi.
The National Frafra Association, headed by Hon. Suleman Adamu Sanid, MP for Ahafo Ano North, falls under the broader National Settlers for Bawumia group.
Their “Operation Touch Base” initiative aims to mobilise Frafra and Grushie-speaking voters within Zongo communities to cast their ballots for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections, with the goal of “breaking the eight,” referring to changing the governing party after eight years in power.
During the meeting, the National Coordinator for the Frafra Association reiterated the group’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Ghana while pursuing their political objectives.
“As Frafras, we are a peace-loving people,” stated the Coordinator. “While we are determined to break the eight, we will do so through peaceful means to uphold the stability our nation currently enjoys.”
Hon. Zack Rahman’s generous donation of GH¢ 20,000 will support the association’s campaign activities as they work to rally support for Dr. Bawumia among the Frafra and Grushie-speaking communities.
Former Regional Youth Organiser Moses Abor also joined Rahman and the constituency executives during their visit to Kawukudi, highlighting the importance of engaging with local communities in the lead-up to the elections.
The “Operation Touch Base” movement by the National Frafra Association for Dr. Bawumia is part of a broader effort by various settler groups to mobilise support for the presidential candidate, aiming to secure a victory and bring about a change in government after eight years.
