Inter Tribal Football Gala: Gonja suffer elimination, despite holding Zabarma in a pulsating draw

Gonja played out a goalless draw with Zabarma on Tuesday afternoon in the matchday 23 of the Inter Tribal Football Gala.

In a game that started in a charged atmosphere, Zabarma created a number of goal-scoring opportunities but the team failed to equalize.

Later before the break, Gonja came in strong but the team’s attackers didn’t have the sharpness to find the back of the net.

The second half saw the Zabarma controlling the tempo of the match for the most part.

In a pulsating end to the match, the referee of the day waved several calls for penalties before eventually whistling to bring the game to an end.

The draw means Gonja have been knocked out of the competition, whiles Zabarma will have to wait for Hausa vs Bissa game to decide their fate.
