Legendary Mohammed Polo launches book titled ‘Polo The Magnificent’
Former Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Polo, on Thursday 14th July launched his book titled, ‘Polo The Magnificent.’
The book chronicles the story of the dribbling magician. Polo’s memoir was written by Nii Odai Laryea and published by DAKpabli & Associates.
The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in Information and Communications Technology, Ridge, in Accra, hosted the event that had many Ghana greats in attendance.
The 106-page book details Polo’s life, career, and impact as a member of both Hearts and the national team.
In the book, Polo named his all-time Black Stars XI, which had more of names of his playing mates.
He omitted Ghana’s all-time top-scorer, Asamoah Gyan, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Abedi Pele, and other notable figures.
Polo was a member of Hearts of Oak’s famous “Fearsome Five” and played a magnificent role in the Black Stars team that won the 1978 AFCON.
