NPP’s Ibrahim Sannie Vanbel promises youth entrepreneurial support in Ayawaso North if voted into power

Praises the ZongoVation Hub for spearheading the campaign.

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso North, Ibrahim Sannie, has pledged to prioritise youth development in the constituency if elected in the December 2024 elections.

He says he has a lot to offer the youth, having lived and identified some of the major challenges in the constituency, emphasising the need for youth leadership and participation to drive community growth.

Speaking to the media at the Zongo Startup Summit 2023 held at the National Mosque on Saturday, Sannie highlighted the importance of supporting the youth and providing opportunities for education, jobs, and skills training.

“The youth are very dear to my heart and a key reason I am contesting in the upcoming elections,” said Sannie.

“I believe supporting the youth and providing opportunities for education, jobs, and skills training will be crucial for the development of Ayawaso North.”

The aspirant called on the youth in Ayawaso North to be actively engaged in shaping their future.

He commended the ZongoVation Hub for spearheading initiatives to boost entrepreneurship and innovation in Zongo areas.

“Events like this startup summit showcase the talent and potential of our youth,” he said.

“My vision is for the youth of Ayawaso North to have access to quality education, gain meaningful employment, and launch startup ventures that will improve livelihoods.

“I would love to collaborate closely with young constituents to make this vision a reality.

“If elected, I will be committed to backing similar programmes that empower young people in the constituency,” Sannie added.”

He revealed that his reason for contesting the  Ayawaso North seat was sparked by a strong zeal to unlock development potential, with a much greater focus on the youth demographic that makes up a significant proportion of the constituency.

The NPP candidate won the party’s parliamentary primaries held on December 2nd and will now seek to unseat the incumbent MP, Hon. Yussif Jajah of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the 2024 general elections.

The Ayawaso North Constituency was carved out of the Ayawaso East Constituency in 2012 to serve communities like Maamobi, parts of Pig Farm, Kotobabi, and parts of Accra New Town.

It has since remained a stronghold for the opposition NDC, but Mr. Sannie believes he will make history for the NPP next year.
